What are the requirements to work with The Care Hub as a caregiver or nurse?
    Most of our partners are recently retired or close to retirement age because we believe they have varied life experience, patience and great respect for the elderly, and a natural desire to care for others. But we also work with people of other ages who are looking for flexible work and are also patient and respectful of older people.

Do I have to have a qualification?
    We are looking for caregivers, both ladies and gentlemen, who:
    Have a certificate following the completion of a course for home care for the elderly or have experience with a work card in the position of caregiver or personal assistant
    Hold a certificate after having completed a nursing course or have work experience with a work card in the position of nurse
    They have graduated from college or post-secondary nursing school.
    If you have informal experience of caring for family members, we encourage you to contact us.

What is the work schedule and its duration?
    You let us know your preferences and availability and we will work with you to determine the programme. Currently, our caregivers' schedules vary:
    up to 10 hours per week for caregivers working with a single beneficiary.
    between 30-40 hours per week for caregivers working with 3-4 beneficiaries.

Can I choose which beneficiaries to work with?
    Before accepting a visit you will receive information about your care recipient and be able to respond knowing the situation. Also, most of the time requests come in for beneficiaries who need long-term help where the chemistry with the caregiver can determine the course of the collaboration. That is why we will propose a get-to-know-you visit where you can both find out more about the beneficiary and their needs and establish with them and the family the routine and schedule of visits.

In which area of the city will I work?
    We have requests for caregivers from all over the city and surrounding areas. As far as possible we will take into account the area where you live or the means of transport available so that travel to the beneficiary's address is accessible. We encourage you to let us know at the outset which area you would like to work in.
